Full course description
This course will support participants with including language in content objectives. Participants will learn about the vocabulary, sentence, and discourse aspects (conversation patterns) of language and appropriate expectations for the beginning stages of second language acquisition. Participants will see examples of content objectives and how language is a part of those objectives. Participants will see how to develop content and language objectives to meet the language needs of the English learners. This language aspect is beneficial for all learners in developing academic language for all content areas.
