This project was developed based on the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This course is intended to provide supplemental training for childcare providers who participate in CACFP. This course will: - Help ensure that the CACFP meal pattern requirements for the meat and meat alternates component are met - Describe the nutrients found various meats and meat alternates - Provide best practice ideas and resources for serving a variety of meat and meat alternates This course will take approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete and consists of: - Pre-test (10 minutes) - Meat and Meat Alternates Video (~40 minutes) - Meat and Meat Alternate Resources (~30 minutes) - Post-test (10 minutes)
