Full course description
This course moves beyond the initial excitement about AI and focuses on what truly matters. Educators will learn how AI can elevate universal design and make learning more inclusive, intentional, and student-centered. Participants will explore the powerful benefits AI can offer for reducing barriers and expanding learner agency. They will also examine the potential disruptions that AI introduces to teaching, learning, and assessment.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Recognize both the opportunities and the potential disruptions AI introduces and learn how to navigate them responsibly.
- Understand how AI can strengthen inclusive instructional design and support a universally designed learning environment.
- Apply AI-enhanced prompting strategies to plan, differentiate, scaffold, and enrich instruction while maintaining firm goals and high expectations.
