Full course description
Observe, Recognize, Respond: Introduction to Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is a form of exploitation that occurs when a person uses force or coercion to control another person. Trafficking impacts youth in our schools, often through relationships, manipulation, and unmet needs. School staff are often among the few trusted adults who may notice subtle changes as signs of grooming or exploitation.
Human trafficking is considered a form of child abuse and neglect. All adults in Nebraska are mandatory reporters. If you believe a student may be experiencing abuse, neglect, or trafficking, you are required to report it.
In this course, you will understand vulnerability and grooming in human trafficking and will learn how to recognize, respond and report human trafficking.
This training will take about 30 minutes to complete. The training includes two modules:
Module 1: Understanding Vulnerability and Grooming in Human Trafficking
Module 2: Recognizing, Responding, and Reporting Human Trafficking
This is a NO credit credit course.
