Full course description

NEW! Enroll now, this course starts on January 1, 2026. The content for Early Childhood Education certification is grounded in requirements from the Nebraska Department of Education. This course is FREE for Nebraska educators. Get the Promo code before enrolling from the school district.

The course is organized into three units (Paraeducator Role, Early Childhood Education, and Title I). Each unit contains several lessons, which include content and a check for understanding quiz. There is no minimum score required for these quizzes.  They are meant to help prepare you for the unit posttest. The items within each lesson must be completed sequentially, and each lesson must be finished before the next becomes available.

At the end of each unit, you will need to complete a posttest. Posttests are summative assessments of each unit and require a passing score of 69% or above. If you score below 69%, you have the opportunity to retake the posttest. You are encouraged to review the unit again before attempting the retake to improve your understanding.

When all three units are complete, users must then pass three Content Skills Assessments (Reading, Mathematics, and Writing) in order to obtain their certificate. Like the posttests, the content skills assessments require a passing score of 69% or above.

Certificates will only be generated if all lessons are completed in full and all content skills assessments are passed with a 69% or higher score.
