Full course description
This 25-minute, single-module course is designed for:
- All School Personnel
- Parents, grandparents, guardians, and caregivers
- After-school program and early childhood center staff
- Faith-based and community group members who use school facilities
- Youth activity coordinators, like coaches, referees, and boosters
- Emergency operation personnel like EMS, fire and rescue, or law enforcement
- This knowledge can equip community & school community members to stay safe and protect children in the event of a threat, hazard, or incident. While the roles of each group will vary, this baseline knowledge is the first step toward successfully being prepared for any situation.
This course covers the following topics:
1) Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and the five core actions:
- Hold
- Secure
- Lockdown
- Evacuate
- Shelter
2) Standard Reunification Method (SRM)
